I have a .pdf that I would like to copy and paste portions of to another document. I can highlight the text and copy to clipboard, but when I paste to the other application, it looks like this:

Is there a way to do this?

I need to add that I am using acrobat v7 and the document has no security on it. Also on the security tab, is says "Content copying or extraction: Allowed".

Whenever that happened to me, it was either because I did not have the font install on my computer, or because it was some unicode font.
But that was for me. Your problem might be different.

OK, assumming this is a unicode font how do I solve my problem?

If the other application is e.g. Word, you can try to "Paste contents" as unformatted unicode text.
Or just highlight the text you just pasted and assign it some font like e.g. "Lucida Sans Unicode" or "Arial MS Unicode"
or "xyz Unicode"

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Andy
