copy&paste

Hi all,

when running my Oracle Form 6i application from web i can't
copy&paste text, for example if i want to copy a word from a mail and paste it into a text item on my form.
I have no problems when my application runs from client.
Can anyone help me?

Hi Lucy,
This is because Forms applet is not signed and JVM Security Manager suppresses some operations (including copy/paste) for unsigned applets.

FIX:

1. Open formsweb.cfg using any text editor and modify parameter:
...
baseHTML=%FORMS60%\server\baseie.htm
...

2. Run form using Web Form Tester HTML file

3. In Security Warning dialog respond press 'Yes' button to trust content from Oracle

Forms applet will run in trusted mode and JVM Security Manager will allow copy/paste operation.
