Copper vs Fiber NAM

I tried to swap out a copper NAM with a fiber NAM, both 4.0's. I did the backup on the copper Nam and restored to the fiber NAM, and the audio out of the fiber NAM is garbled.
Have I attempted the impossible?

I've had this happen too. But it was a copy from a 3.0 Gotham Nam to a 4.1 V3g both fiber. Sounds like a herd of wild turkeys. I now do a backup and load to another "test" Nam before I do it for real.
