Copper NAM vs Fiber NAM

Will the copper NAM 4.1 perform the same functions as a Fiber NAM 4.1 i.e. software functions etc?

I am assuming that a copper NAM 4.1 is simply connected to an available station port like a Flash or CP would be.

All features/functions the same. Some claim fiber responds a little quicker.
