Coping files over a wan on windows 2000

We are just in the process of setting up a wan between skoke and manchester we have bult two 2000 servers. we have tested the active directory replication over the wan and it works fine we can ping all our routers in the wan and connect anywere over the network with win vnc. We are running a 100mg network either end with 10mg routers with a 128kb isdn link between stoke and manchester but When we try to copy over a file from one server to the next, over the wan we gat an error message cannot copy, file name, specifed network name is no longer availbe the file is a database. Size 152Mb any one got any idears G
 
What database and software are you using?
Version?
Can you replicate locally?
