copare first field from two files and create new

Could anybody tell me how can I compare two files (the first field) and create a new file with the common lines?

But does not work correctly. I suppossed that I did not explain it well.
I've two files where these two file firstly only they have the first equal, so I'd like to create another one with this common field with the other.

Better show a sample of what you want.
