Cookies keep getting deleted

Hi,

I'm having this problem for quite some time now, and it is getting very irritating.

Every now and then, Windows seems to delete my cookies out of the blue. I lose all my logindata for websites and my history is blank again. When I check the cookies-folder, it is empty.
But I did not ask for this to happen!

I can't think of anything I could have done to cause this. It has been happening for over a year now I think.

Does anyone know what could cause this behaviour?
