hello all,

I don't know whether I am in the right place but I have a question about computer and hoping someone can help.

How can I look up in my computer to find out what and where other users went to in the internet?

p.s. Users might already knew how to clear all cookies using Internet Options before leaving the computer.

thank you!

This depends on many factors - none of which you've given. Things like the operating system in use, and the browser in use would all be needed before a more accurate answer can be given.

Even then, if the browser settings have been changed to move the default location of the cache files or cookies, then you'd need to go into the browser to find out.

I suggest looking around your browser settings to find the location of these, and then visiting that location using windows explorer. Or simply click the "history" within the browser.

Hope this helps,
Dan

I have FireFox and IE utilized, WINXP operation system.

I mostly understand those basic stuff in the Firefox's options or IE's cookies or even the "history" you mentioned, so is my teenager son. Is there another better technical way that will still contain web browsing info even if cookies have been deleted?

Thanks

Let me read between the lines here. Either you want to find out what your son is up to, or you want to hide what you're up to from him.

If the former, and he's smart enough to delete history and cookies, then your only option would really be a keylogger or some sort of packet sniffer. There may be legal ramifications to using either of these methods for snooping, however.

If the latter, then you'd want some sort of progam like Evidence Eliminator, or software of a similar ilk.

Hope this helps,
Dan
