Hello,
First let me say that I didn't ask for this job, it was sort of pushed on me and I am simply trying to make the best out of a bad situation.
My database must reside on the same hard drive where the OS and all the other goodies live and if I am reading the docs correctly this calls for cooked files to define the dbspaces.
I don't have a tape ..I am not interested in backing the system up as I am only using it for testing purposes...but the database I need to create is very large. I simply cannot find a simple straight forward description of when and how to define the table spaces and dbspaces needed to setup this large database.
Can someone point me to a good reference book or website that might help me out?
