hi there....

i have certain large data in pagemaker format which i need to convert into SQL/Microsoft-access .Is there any means .desperately in need of help quickly.

thanks in advance.

Hey there,

alas there is not direct export as SQL/Access file from PM - if SQL/Access can handle simple text, tagged text or rtf data then you can export from PM to text:
select the text tool
file > export > text

If you database apps can't handle this sort of data directly, it might be possible to open the text/rtf file in Word etc and configure it for the use in SQL/Access

Hope that helps

There is no easy way... SnowWolf is correct. I would begin by exporting to text, then editing that file very carefully, applying tags if need be and then importing that file into SQL.

You did not describe what sort of data, or the layout. If there are images included in the data, then your best bet is to separate the text as described, and the graphics will probably have to be done manually in SQL, unless you have some guru in VB in house. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
