All,

I have spent the better part of the day tying to get the customers per-recorded "Names" and "Greetings" to work from their previous VM Pro to new Embedded (don't ask)

I have followed this document to a T and cannot get anything to work.

The only other thing I can think of is the per-recorded audio files are not in the correct: PCM, 8kHz 16-bit, mono format, and I am not sure how to confirm this. Suggestions?

I gave Audacity.

See below my exact steps (They are on R10.1)

After, I reboot the IPO and nothing. Suggestions?

With Audacity, I changed the "Format" to "16-Bit PCM" and then exported the file as a "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM", however that still did not work and when I re-opened the exported file after the conversion it was showing "32-bit float" again [thumbsdown] [mad]

Put the file in the AAG folder.
Make sure you have run manager as Administrator..for thr utility to work properly

What was the output error you got.

Hi snowman50: I should of mentioned that I did run Manager as Administrator and I did not receive any errors during the conversion

I will try the AAG Folder and report back.

Same issue in the AAG Folder - default Avaya Greeting.

If you don’t get an error then it must be the name.

It needs to match the user name..dmckay

Ipo name for the user...dmckay
Lvmgreeting user extension...dmckay

snowman50:

When I record the name from the actual phone for testing, it places it in the: System > Dynamic > LVMAIL Folder, so that is where the converted greetings are.

This is the name recording that I recorded from the actual phone:

This is the greeting I converted and uploaded:

I noticed a few differences between the files.
- The Format on the recording from the phone is G.711 ULAW
- The Format on the recording I converted and uploaded is G.711 ALAW
- The Label on the recording from the phone is: "NAME"
- The Label on the recording recording I converted and uploaded is: "Name"

Not sure if this makes any difference

Also, this is the customers profile. Is there anywhere else I am missing for the "dmckay" Format?

As a side note, all of the AA Recordings that I Converted and uploaded under the AAG Folder are working just fine...

Any professional Recording must go in the AAG folder.
All local recordings will automatically go in to Lvmail folder.

Your recording must go into the AAG folder..

I must admit I thought you were referring to professional recordings.

When I re read your post I see it’s the original vmpro names you want.

Sorry for my confusion..

I am not sure if that will work..

I am sure you have done a search to see if it can be done.

snowman50: good to know on the folder placements, thank you for the information.

OK Everything is finally working as intended. Name / Greeting Recording in the AAG Folder. The issue was - on the above link for instructions it states to rename the file to a .clp - this does not work. It does however work when using the default .c11 file when converting via the LVM Greeting Utility (for R10.1 at least)

snowman50: Appreciate the help.
