Converting Unix t time

I am getting 997723754 as a time from an oracle db. I need to be able to convert this field into an Oracle recognized field then trunc it so that i can aggragate the data into our data warehouse. Can't find out how to change that UNIX t timestamp to a MM-DD-YYYY format.
