Hi All,

I am running 3 Windows 2003 virtual m/c under VMWare ESX server.

I have taken the backups of both the virtual m/c from ESX s erver using Acronis TrueImage server 9.1.

The backup is in the form of TIB extension. I was wondering how do i convert this TIB extension while to a VMWare disk image (in case the Virtual m/c gets corrupted).

Please help me with it.

Thanks

You should be able to create a new guest with a similarly sized hard drive as the original source, boot it with the acronis CD/iso and restore the image to the hard drive. I have done this from a physical host to a virtual guest and didn't even need to P2V it, just install the VMWare Tools after the windows OS booted

Thanks for the reply.

Where do i perform the cd boot, on the esx server? or any other place?
