I have a project 2/3 done in Access 97 and have imported everything into Access 2000.
None of my forms work. I get an error on the first line where I have
dim db as Database
After going through on-line help, it looks like I'm going to have to recode a lot.

Is everyone doing this? Is there an easy way or a set of guidelines?

Are most people ignoring 2000 and sticking with 97?

Have you tried converting the database from Access 97 to 2000? I have done this a few times with various database and have not found too many problems, if any at all. Your problem comes from the DAO reference not existing in Access 2000. Access 2000 automatically uses the ADO reference. You can use both side by side, but then you have to specify whether ADO or DAO.

Converting the database will stop any problems re:DAO/ADO.

Hope this helps. [sig]
Phooey
Andrew.j.harrison@capgemini.co.uk
Otherwise known as Windy Bottom.[/sig]
