Please help me with this.
At this point, I don't have much information but here is what I have to work with for now.
some 30 SQL statements were written in Informix but now, management has decided to convert these SQL statements to Oracle.
Here are the initial requirements:
Convert Informix tables to Oracle objects.
Convert 45 SQL statements written in Informix to 15 using Oracle.
ACE reports to Oracle Reports.
Has anyone done something similar?
If yes, can you PLEASE give a summary of how to go about it?
thanks,
tankem

yup we migrated an Informix to an Oracle DB before but we manually created everything bec. no tools were available then. but now, you can checkout the Oracle Migration Workbench to migrate your DB. You can download the software from technet.oracle.com.

You can also try to establish a transparent gateway from Oracle to Informix, then copy all your tables from Informix to Oracle. Detailed info for this can be found at
Now you have two options.

For the reports, you'll have to manually do all those and also for the SQLs.
