I need to be able to convert an existing form to a PCL macro file, preferably as a vector graphic. I need to then print this form and overlay text into the fields on the form. There was a rather pricey software package called TransForm Professional that would do this, but I am not sure that G7 sells this still. Is there any reasonable alternative to using this software? I must be able to create a faithful reproduction of the original form.

Thanks!

You might look at an earlier thread on this forum titled something like "Embedding images in PCL".

If you have a scan of a form, you will have to first convert it to PCL format and then put a macro wrapper around it. If your original form was designed for a dot matrix printer, the clip limits of a PCL page can sometimes become an issue, forcing you to reduce the size of the form slightly. That can then ultimately cause data alignment problems.
