I have received an Access 97 database file with a memo field that contains descriptive text along with rtf formatting characters. What would be the best/easiest way to convert the information in this memo field to simple ascii text, while converting the italic and bold formatting characters to HTML tags? Is there an add-on function available somewhere that could be used in a SQL update query to do the conversion quickly for all records in the table? Any/all suggestions would greatly appreciated.
