converting RPGII to RPGIV

AM a good AS400 Programmer but i really needed to know how to do conversion of RPGII to RPGIV. Am not profecient with RPG.Kindly help.

Have you tried CVTRPGSRC?.
The help states RPGIII is converted but it might do it for RPGII.

I think CVTRPGSRC can do the trick if you first change the RPG36 source type to RPG. Give it a try with only one member .

CVTRPGSRC will help, but there's some cleaning up needed. I can't remember all of them, but stuff like IC or ID in col 15 on the F spec needs to become IF. There are some RPG2->RPG4 conversion programs out there for sale also.

why convert it at all? If it isn't broke don't try to fix it. There is nothing wrong with some RPGII code unless you are trying to incorporate some new features into your programs.
