Converting Report to Excel

I am coverting a report that has calculated controls on it over to Excel. I click the Office links button on the toolbar and it converts the data over to Excel. It brings over the data that appears in the rows on the report, but it does not include the calculated controls which are subtotal and grand total on the report.

Any idea why it would not include the calculated controls on the Excel spreadsheet.
