Hi there,

I'm converting a couple PRI's from NFAS to FAS. I Know I have to remove the trunks, the existing D-CH and then program them up again but my question is regarding the Clock Controllers. I have clocking on the two loops in question, do I need to remove these and put them back in afterwards?

Any guidance would be appreciated..

If you aren't outing the loops you wont need to change the clocking.

Hi,
You may need to remove them. If you try and remove the DLOP you may get an error that it cannot be removed because it is assigned to the clocking.
If so, just go to LD 73 and print the current configuration.

REQ prt
TYPE ddb

CC0 1
PREF CC0 1
SREF CC0 FREE RUN

TRSH 00
RALM 128
BIPC 2
LFAC 3
BIPV 3 2
SRTK 5 30
SRNT 15 3
LFAL 17 511
SRIM 1
SRMM 2
ICS

copy this information then change the PREF (or whichever one is assigned to the PRI you are working on) to FRUN

you can then remove and rebuild the DLOP and then re assign it to the clocking in LD 73.

Hope it helps.

He shouldn't have to remove the DLOP for the changes he is talking about. Out the trunks, out the backup d-channel and build the new d-channel back and build the trunks.

Thanks for all the answer so far, I think I have what I need but since we are at it may as well post what I will be programming to make sure I got it right.
