I may be developing my first Access db outside of work. I understand that the data is in Paradox (don't have a clue about it). Can I easily convert Parodox to Access table without a lot of heartach?
I live in Florida, is there a standard fee to charge?
Lanie
etroidl@conaxfl.com

There is an option for Paradox under File/Get External Data/Import/Files of type.

I am working with Access 97. There is no option for Paradox unless it would be ODBC Databases. Would that be it?

It's available for Access97, but maybe you didn't get it on your default install. See instructions for this in your Access Help: look in the index under "Importing Data/Data Formats".

Thank you for your help. I have been able to locate and install it.
Next question if you don't mind. I will be using Access 97 to develop for a machine running Access Db from MS Office Profession 2000. Is this possible or will I need to upgrade Access to 2000?

It is possible, because Access 2000 recognizes the older versions. But it increases the size of the db and decreases efficiency somewhat when you open a 97 version with 2000. But is it a good idea...?

Sound like it may not be a good idea.
I will be interviewing the potential client Thursday. I will be examing his current situation to determine his record count. I was thinking I would grab the data to a zip drive and develop it at home on MSA97, making it an MDE and giving it to him in this manner.
Sounds simple and uncomplicated, but you know how that goes...thank you for all your help...hope I can help you out at some point....
