Converting Montly report to dailies

I am trying to convert monthly groups reports into dailies. When I change to dailies I am seeing each day appearing multiple times. I guess my question is how can I set each particual day appear once and summarize data into one day.

If the report is grouped by month, right click the group and select change group->The Section Will Be Printed->For Each Day instead of For Each Month

If it's not grouped by month, then select Insert->Group->Select the date field and The Section Will Be Printed->For Each Day

Now place whatever field you want summarized in the details, right click the field and select Insert->Summary and choose the type of summary you need. Then right click the details and select hide.
