I have numerous stored procedures using the OPENQUERY method to select/insert/update data within a linked server. The application/database I am connecting to is a BTRIEVE database. Recently, I purchased an upgrade of the application so that it will run on SQL Server rather than BTRIEVE (a very welcome upgrade). The problem I have is with all of the statements that have been written using the linked server. How do I gracefully update all of the stored procedures and other TSQL scripts to use the new database? Has anyone ever done this? If I must do it proc by proc, then I will be in trouble. Hundreds exist and I cannot have the system down more than a day. Any insight and direction would be much appreciated! Linguinut
