Situ: Windows 2000 (Admin priviledges--Power User), Pagemaker 6.5Plus~!, Framemaker 6.0.

When I attempt to "Insert Object" the linked Excel table--the fonts (Adobe-Swiss) are terribly distorted (bizarre).

My understanding is that 6.5 is not registered with Win2000--is In-Design the only answer? Our site is "committed" to Pagemaker unless I can find the Real solution. Thanks in advance~!

You can update to PM7.0 for $79... ID will definately handle tables MUCH more proficiently than PM ever did, and if you do a lot of work with them, ID is the way to go.

The Adobe Forum has a terrific FAQ on brnging in Excel and Word tables.

One of these methods should do the job for you.

Even though 6.5 is not certified for W2K, if you installed it properly, as admin, etc, it should run okay for you. This article ~ ~ gives the nitty-gritty on running PM6.5 on W2K & XP.

Also, make sure the font was installed properly, not just copied into a folder, but installed using a Font Management application or using W2K's font manager.

Hope this points you in the right direction. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
