converting large numbers of files to different formats

Hi guys, hope everyone had a good Easter,

For my project I need to keep the overall filesize down to 20mb. At present I am way other this target, mainly because I stupidly failed to convert the PNG files to JPG as I went along. I was wondering is there a program that can automatically convert large numbers of files to different formats without me having to do it manually?

Any help as always is much appreciated

I use Photoshop - which has a batch convert feature.

Irfanview is free and will do the same kind of batch conversions. It has a lot of other real nice features, too.
