Does any one know how to export data from AS400 to MIMS ??

Exporting data from an AS400 to MIMS..

Where does the MIMS instance you are migrating to reside? ie. Platform and DB.

MIMS has a number of load programs to load data into specific tables in its standard database. You must identify where the information is going, then from there you can determine what format the data needs to be in. It will be a text file, but there are fields sizing, text delimiters, etc to consider. Once this has been indentified export the data, in a text file (formated acccording to the specs from the load program), from your AS400 and FTP it across.

Do you have QMF on your AS400? If so, use this and export the data to a dataset. Otherwise any other SQL based can be used.

Once the file has been FTP'd to its destination, then the load program can be run and checked.... in a test environment of course ;)

Your question is very general in nature.
For some generic answers, also see FAQ: "Extracting and Uploading Data onto MIMS" in this forum
