Does anyone know how easy or difficult it would be to convert files, pages ect. from Corel Ventura 5 to Adobe Pagemaker 7? I work for a company that publishes a booklet of job listings and we use Wordperfect to type our ads and open them in Ventura to put them in pages for our booklet.
My boss wants to convert to Adobe Pagemaker, but has no idea of how to do it. I would appreciate any input on this subject. Thank you.

If you do not have to edit the pages, the best way would be to create PDFs of the Ventura pages and then place the PDFs into the PM doc. I have never uesed Ventura, or imported the files from it. Ventura is up to version 8 now, I believe. Vs 5 is way old, so any conversion of the document to PM would probably be next to impossible.

Does Ventura have the capability of being converted to a Word doc? If so, you could try doing that, then saving the Word Doc as a Word97 Doc, and importing that into PM6.5.. or save as Word2000 and import that into PM7.0.

PM and Word do not play well together, so that would probably be a big headache.

If you go the PDF route, the PDFs can be somewhat edited using Illustrator. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
