Converting framemaker files between versions

Hi,
We have a few users with FrameMaker in our lab, some have FrameMaker 7 and some have 6. When people save files in 7 it does not open well on 6 unless they save it as a version 6 file.
I am looking for an automated way to convert files from version 7 to version 6.
It should be a way that allows version 6 users to convert the files.

Did you try to save the files as "Maker Interchange File" (MIF)? Some Updates for Version 7 would not be taken into V6-Dokuments - but normally that should work.

Hi,
Well the real problems is with documents that i get from customers that use version 7.
I have educated my version 7 users to save in a way that the version 6 can open it but I can't control on the version used by my clients.
