Hey guys,

I have a table with over 10000 entries and want to change the current priority section from A, B, C, D that I have now to 1, 2, 3, 4. Is there any to simply make it so the A's become 1's and so on or is the best way to do it by just using a vlookup in excel and then changing it back into access?

Thanks!

If this is a one time event, you can try to Edit->Replace from datasheet view. I would probably create an update query for this as the most reliable method.

You could replace the character/text field with and expression like:
ASC(UCASE([YourFieldNameHere]))-64
