Hi,

I am totally new to Adobe products and I think am I right in saying that Adobe Distiller will convert documents into PDF format ?. Is there a cheaper Adobe product that will do this ?
Alternatively could anyone please recommend a product that will do this and is user friendly !!.

The product I am looking for will only be used to convert into pdf so I don't need the full functionality of distiller hence would rather not go to the expense of purchasing an adobe distiller licence if the is a cheaper alternative which will achieve the required results.

Any help would be appreciated

You don't say what sort of application you will be making your PDFs from (e.g. Word?) but presumably it is not some Adobe application (such as Photoshop) as these programs have the ability to make PDFs built-in. If you have a newer version of Word you may already have the capacity to make PDFs.

There are a number of programs (some free or at least cheaper than Acrobat) that will make PDFs, many of them quite good if you are not expecting to make PDFs of offset-press quality.

Thanks to both of you for replying. Both websites contain the kind of product I am lookin for.
In reply to your question Eggles the vast majority of documents I would want to convert are word 2000.
