Can anyone tell me if can convert an application written in dBASE IV to dBASE Plus and how ?

Thanks,
Tibi

I'm assuming you mean dBase III+. dBase IV is not backward compatible... you'll have to rewrite it for earlier versions of dBase.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Find someone who has a full version of Foxpro 2.5 or 2.6 for DOS

They can recompile your application as an executable, in which case you do not need Foxpro at all.

I'm sorry my post in your other thread didn't help - I swear I was in the dBasePlus knowledgebase - I didn't notice that the article was actually referring to converting to Visual dBase.

However..... my sense from dBase.com is that it doesn't require a conversion to run dbaseIV apps in dBasePlus. Can you provide more info about what you have and what you wish to do? I think if you have a bunch of dbaseIV .prgs and .dbfs they are directly executable and readable by dBasePlus.
