Converting date value

A short one;

If I have date value 17/08/2005. With which formula do I get the date notation:

(1) 08-2005 ( month-year )
(2) 03-2005 ( quarter-year )

Have you had a look at Excel's help file? I don't mean to be rude, but please keep in mind that this is not a help desk. You are expected to try to find answers on your own before posting questions.

If you have already tried anything, please tell us what it was. Getting the date to display as "08-2005 ( month-year )" is dead simple and you should find out how to do it by using Excel's help file.
