Converting Business Objects reports over to SSRS

We will be eliminating our Business Objects environment (currently have BOXI R2) and installing SQL Server 2008 and converting all of our reports, again, currently in BO, to SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). However, I have no idea what may or may not be involved. We have many archived reports (in the thousands), as well as many current reports (over a hundred), and wondering the best way to handle this. All are Crystal Reports.

I can open each instance up in BOXI and export the Crystal Report to a PDF file and eventually copy this over, but hopefully there is an easier way. Is there some kind of batch utility we could (should) use for this?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

As far as I know, there is no tool for converting Crystal reports to SSRS. However, you might find something if you ask this question in an SSRS forum. SAP and the Crystal folks have no interest in making the conversion easy, but Microsoft and/or SSRS users may have created something that will make this easier.

I work with SSRS occasionally and I have not heard of any tool. The components for SSRS are radically different from CR, I seriously doubt there would be a way of doing it.

Actually there is more than one tool for this. The tools can handle the major part and create a SSRS, which is not perfect, but still a very good start. I tested few tools about 2-3 years ago but I never had to use any of them. Quick search now returns these 2 websites.

I guess you will be able to find more.
