I converted my file system to NTFS a while ago. However I need to partition my hard drive and Windows 2000 can't do that with NTFS file system (for what I heard). Anybody know how to convert back to FAT32 without formatting my entire hard drive?

OR

Say if I transfer all the files into a backup tape (including the OS! Like it is), would windows 2000 be able to handle an instant change (NTFS to FAT32)? Or will problems occur? I'd hate to have to reinstall windows 2000 for it is very inconvenient, but if that were my only choice remaining, I’d have to do it.

Also I have Partition Magic 5.1 (not 6.0). Is it possible to convert from that?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

PM will do it, I've done the same myself. But, I had some problems with extended volumes getting blasted. I might suggest getting 6.0 in the hopes they cleaned up the NT side which has always been weak on PM.
