Is there an easier way to convert an excel file
to an ascii file using korn shell. Thanks much

Easier? you mean there is a way to do it at all?

The easiest way is to take it back to WINDOWS
load it into EXCEL and have it save it as a

Comma Separated Variables (.csv)

file which will be in ASCII.

I found a WEB site that does the conversion for you.

I guess this assumes you can run a WEB browser on your UNIX box.

Thanks for taking the time to answer me. Much appreciated.
