I need to convert an Access 2.0 db to either 97 or 2000. Any potential problems & fixes that I need to be aware of? 2.0 db consists of several tables, queries, forms, macros, modules and reports. Any information would be most helpful.

Going from 2.0 to 97 I only ran into one type of error. Sometimes the &quot;.&quot; in a DoCmd statement was missing, sometimes not! It's easy to find because when you try to compile the code they pop up one after the other.<br>

Going from 97 to 2000 I ran into some code that required either (1) DAO code with older syntax or (2) set a different library reference. There's an explanation at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> (Microsoft support Knowlege Base Article ID 199064) and it points you to more info under Access Help.<br>

MS has created a table to help you convert the most common DAO syntax culprits in a white paper called &quot;Microsoft Access 2000 Conversion&quot; at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"><br>
Another item to be aware of, Access 2000 defaults to an install in the same directory as 97, so you have to take certain precautions if you want to keep multiple versions on the same PC (MS does not recommend this). There's more info on this in an earlier thread in this forum.
