Hi there
My colleague has a problem with his computer. He is using Adobe Acrobat 6.0, Office 2003 and Windows XP. He is trying to convert several files from Word Format to PDF Fromat. While in windows explorer, he highlights the word files, right clicks and chooses "Convert to Adobe PDF." It appears to go through the process of creating the PDF file. However, when he checks the directory, no pdf file has been created. Can anyone think of any reason why this would be? No error messages are displayed. I attempted to get to the bottom of the problem by taking the first document and pasting the contents page by page into a new document, PDF'ing it at the end of each page. It PDF'd the first 4 pages successfully, I pasted in the 5th page, put it on to PDF and left the machine for a couple of minutes. When i came back, the pdf file i had previously created had completely vanished.
I ended up having to use an online PDF Facility to create the required files. I would love to get to the route of the problem to satisfy my own curiosity
