Converting a PDF file to text with Acobat OLE objects

I am trying to convert a PDF file to text format under program control. I am using the acroexch.pddoc object. I can open the pdf file with the open method, and save it to a new location with the save method. But, I can't see a way to save it as a text format file. Does anyone know a way to do this?
