Hi

I have logo which is in a Word DOC file format and I need to convert it to a AI file for a vendor who will print them on t-shirts. The vendor said I could save a lot of money if I can give them it in a AI file otherwise they will charge me a large fee to recreate it. Can anyone suggest a program or how to do it? Thanks in advance.

If the logo is in a vector format, you could print to PDF. PDF files can be opened by Illustrator.

If you don't currently have the ability to print Word to PDF, google for CutePDF, a free PDF printer.

Hello, I have the same problem as unsureguy, I wanted to transform DOC to AI,

I've already done DOC to PDF, but for some reason, It doesn't load the fonts on Illustrator, Plus, I need to convert 51 pages from PDF to AI, you know a quick way to do this too ?

If the Word docs are all text and don't contain graphics, you can use the File menu/place command in Illustrator.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

It contains lots of graphics and a lot of text with difference sizes & colors

If the logo is finished and does not need any further retouch why not save it as a JPEG.

Select all, copy and paste it into Powerpoint, then save as Jpeg File Interchange Format from Save As Type drop down menu.

But it will be 96dpi.
