Converting a Bitmap to a GIF file.

This thread follows that of a previous one of mine (attempting to save a TChart display as a '.GIF') file but has been re-submitted with a wider subject title (in the hope of attracting more responses).
I am able to save the display of a TChart component as a bitmap file ('.BMP') but now have a requirement to save it as a '.GIF'.
Am I able to save the bitmap file (or convert it) to a '.GIF' file directly (or through saving/loading to/from a stream) ?

Hi Steven,

What you should do is go to

http://www.Delphi32.com

and/or

http://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/delphi/

(DSP) and
look for components that allow .GIF files. I think that is
the fastest solution.

Try dropping a note explaing what you want to do to Anders Melander at this address. He is the Author of the TgifImage [FREEWARE] component. I am not sure if Gifimage will do exactly what you want but I think he might be able to help you.
