Ok it doesn't have to be a spline. Here is the situation...
I have a railroad track. I have to reproduce the original information (i.e. curves, spirals, tangents, etc...)

Question: If I connect all the points at the centerline of the track I get a rough idea of whats going on. Is there a command that will diagnose the centerline and separate out all the curves, spirals, tangents, etc... from that centerline?

Thanks in advance

No. And I haven't heard of a similar feature in any add-ons such as LDD either.

You'll have to draw in the tangents by eye, then see what radius curve best fits the curved portions of the alignment. Spirals are probably imperceptible, at best you could approximate the alignment close enough using compound circular curves.
