Hey all,

I used VMware's Converter to convert some workstations into VMs and run them under VMware server. Now I'm trying out ESXi and I'd like to pull the workstation VMs into ESXi but I'm not seeing a way to "import" them. Does anyone know how to do this, or if it's even possible??? I did find a way to import virtual appliances, but that won't work with converted workstations.

Thanks,

Joe B

Here's what I've found that works (and at this point I think it's the only option). Install VMware Converter on the workstation, then convert that workstation using the "This local machine" option. That will bring up "VMware Infrastructure Virtual Machine" as a destination choice, then you can enter the ESXi info and be on your merry way.

Thanks,

Joe B
