Converted to NTFS; Corel 9 having multiple errors.

I have recently converted both of my drives from FAT32 to NTFS; prior to this CorelDraw 9 was operating properly. Since the change, I am continually running into errors of different types. I did read in another forum that the user needs to be a power user under NTFS but even that doesn't work; it seems that the user needs to have Administrator rights which I don't want for long-term use.
Suggestions are appreciated! Windows XP Pro operating system.
