I now cannot open my Outlook Express under my user id. I get a message that it is out of memory or the disk space is full. Then I get another message that it cannot initialize MSOE.dll. When I look in explorer under Document and Settings and under my login folder, the Application Data folder is now missing. I can log in under the Administrator or any other account and it opens up OE but not under my login. I would like to get my OE accounts and all saved emails back.

Seems like I'm only having issues w/OE under my account name.

I backed up my c: & d: drives prior to the conversion to NTFS. I would like to restore the backup data. Will that cause a problem since I've converted to NTFS or can I just run restore? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Make sure you have Folder Options/ View (options) checked to Show Hidden Files otherwise half your UserName folders will appear has missing.

With that set see what you have in this location.

C:\Documents and Settings\UserNamexxxx\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{45892BBA-8447-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Make sure the permissions for any .dbx files are correct and that they have not been set to Read-Only.

You may have to remove the check to "Use Simple File Sharing" (same location as hidden files from above) in order to access the Security tab.

If the folders are genuinely missing restoring them to their correct position will not be a problem because of any file system change (at least I don't think so).
