convert Word Pro to M S Office Word

can any one tell me how to convert Lotus word pro to Microsoft Office 2000 Word

Just like any other program, click File, Save As and pick the type from the drop down list.

And if it works like spreadsheets and Excel, you are probably going to have to do some reformatting in Word.

What if you don't have Lotus Smartsuite and only the .lwp file. Anybody knows how to convert it into MS .doc file?

QuickViewPro will allow you to view such files.

I was looking at the QuickViewPro web site at

and it didn't list the Lotus Word Pro file format.

If anyone has any shareware suggestions, I too would like to
hear about them.

i ave in de mean time found out dat if i opend de wordpro file an i c only squares an i right click in de do doc den i click on normal, de doc is aotomaticaly converted to MS word in my MS Word XP program

Thanks Kalikala. I guess mabey I have to spend the money and upgrade my hardware so I can run XP and upgrade from office 2000. For the moment, though, I'm stuck using win 2k and office 2k.
