Veritas Netbackup 5 on HP-UX 11.11

Is it possible to convert a Unix catalog (HP-UX) to a catalog format that can be read by a windows master server ?

We want to install a crash test site, but the production environnement is under HP-UX and the crash test site is under Windiows.

Thanks
Ben

You can import each tape ;-)

Just because the Veritas documentation states a certain thing does not make it a fact

You could possibly get away with restores only via the recovery without tapes method, i.e. just replicating the images area as per Veritas document:

We are using it for DR strategy and it means we have a 200GB catalog available instantly (less replication delays)

Although ours is like to like....

Unfortunately item 6 in the restrictions heading of the document fails to meet the requirements

Restrictions:
1. All tapes being moved must have unique barcodes.
2. All client names must be unique.
3. None of the tapes being moved will be used for backups at the new location.
4. There exists a library at the new location to support the correct tape format.
5. Both masters must be running the same release of NetBackup.
6. Both masters must be similar architecture (both UNIX or both Windows).

A star for your honesty!
...oh, and the documentation is a valuable posting too :)
