The short answer is that you can't and still maintain it original use. However, here are some of the methods you can use to get text from an .mdb file.
Access 2000
Modules: In design mode for modules go to File\Export File
Macros: Unknown
Reports: Unknown
Queries: Go to the query design, View\SQL View and copy the SQL in ascii format
Forms: In design mode for forms go to File\Export File
Tables: Unknown
Data: File\Send MSDOS Text
