convert .rpt file into .rdf

Do you mean a file that was created to be run through the original Oracle RPT report generation engine?

You cannot directly convert RPT file into Oracle Reports format. You will have to re-write your report.

Converting rpt to rdf is a manual task, you can basicaly only use the SELECT's.
For very complex report, the best is to convert to pro*C.
I have written a C program that can in some cases convert 100%. In others some work is needed.
