Convert Quark qxp file to PM 7.0 1

I just received a Quark qxp file and would like to convert/import it into Pagemaker 7.0. The conversion utility that came with PM7.0 did not recognize the qxp file. I do not have access to the Quark software. Anyone know of any third party utilities that will do the conversion? Thanks.

Yes, the PM7 convertor will only convert QuarkXPress
versions 3.3x–4.1. It's the same version constraintsfor InDesign. The reason is probably commercial, i.e. not disclosing the finer parts of the QXP file format to Adobe.

You can download a demo version of QXP from

but "Save" and "Print" are disabled. You may be able to copy text and images to PM though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Been there - done that. I installed the demo version of Quark, but the copy functions have also been disabled so I couldn't copy and paste the text or graphics from the file. I am still in search of a converter but I do have a pdf version of the same qxp file. Worse comes to worse I will cut and paste from that and have to recreate the formating. Again thanks for the help.

I haven't tried their demos, but that doesn't surprise me. At least the Adobe tryouts are fully functioning for 30 days, which can get you out of a one-off jam.

Again depending in the PDF version and security, you should be to place it page by page into PM.
