Convert Movie Clip to Movie?

I was trying to make an AIM icon in flash so I made a movie and put everything in a movie clip. What I didnt realize was that exporting as a gif from flash would get rid of my movie clips. I was wondering if there was a way to convert my movie clip into a movie. I tried copying and pasting the frames into a movie but the placement got really messed up. Does anyone have any other suggestions? If you want to see exactly how I screwed up I uploaded everything to my site:

i am not sure whether the terminology i use is correct for flash in the english version as i am using a german one...*

first you have to make everything on the root-timeline if you want to export something as an animated gif.

for doing so in your fla select all the frames in symbol5 (just as you would do to select some text in more than one line) then click right and select * copy frames. then go to the main timeline, click right in the first frame of the timeline and select * paste frames.
don't care about having just one layer in the main timeline before you paste the frames. additional ones will be added just as where you copied the frames from.
